Founded in 2023 by Apsara Kasiraman, we are dedicated to scouting, nurturing, developing, and promoting talented artists without the confines of genre. Our unique approach allows us to cater to both multi-genre and single-genre artists alike, enabling them to fully realize their creative visions, regardless of the stylistic classifications of their past work.

about the CEO
Apsara Kasiraman is the dynamic and innovative CEO of Malibu View Records. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Apsara is a classically trained musician, multi-genre artist, and equestrian. Her musical journey began at the tender age of three, when she started learning piano. She has also studied violin, classical composition, orchestral conducting, music theory, and music production. Her passion for the arts has always been a driving force in her life, leading her to participate in prestigious music programs like the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program, Curtis Summerfest Young Artists Summer Program, and Baltimore Chamber Orchestra’s Conducting Seminar with Markand Thakar.
Apsara’s extensive education includes completing multiple AP and Post-AP (college level) courses at Stanford Online High School, which she attended from the eighth grade through high school. In addition to her regular schooling, she attended the Colburn School from 2010-2022, where she studied piano, violin, composition, orchestral conducting, and music theory. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, in 2024 with a BA in Music (piano emphasis) and business minor, completing a four-year bachelor's degree in only two years. Apsara's musical pursuits extend beyond her instrumental talents. She is also a classical composer and music producer, expressing herself in musical mediums beyond performance. As a composer, she is a two-time National YoungArts Winner, and her compositions have won numerous accolades. Her piece “traction” made her a finalist in the ensemble division of the 2019 National Young Composers Challenge, and she was the youngest composer featured in Requiem-20, the Musical Mentors Collaborative’s musical project in which composers were commissioned to write short pieces commemorating victims of COVID-19.
Driven by a desire to create more dynamic spaces for artists who break the mold, Apsara founded Malibu View Records with the vision of giving artists a label that adapts to their artistic journey, rather than the other way around. As a multi-genre artist herself, she strives to rectify the music industry's notorious reputation for limiting artists’ exploration and expression. Instead, she believes that artists should take the lead in crafting their musical style and career.
Outside of music, Apsara is passionate about horseback riding, travel, fashion, and cars. She also enjoys listening to music of all genres and spending time with family and friends. As the CEO of Malibu View Records, Apsara is dedicated to not only expanding her own musical horizons, but also empowering other artists to grow and succeed in an ever-changing musical environment.
